In the volume offered, the German physicist Hans Rosenberg published “The Hertzsprung–Russell diagram (or H–R diagram) -- a scatter diagram showing the relationship between the “intrinsic luminosity” of stars (a measure of their energy output) and their temperatures (as indicated by their “spectral type” or color).
